The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shavera bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Franklin sneaks out the side door and pushes Shavera away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Shavera feints and as Franklin raises his hands in defense, Shavera changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Franklin has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Shavera off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Telawn Shavera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shavera clinches up with Franklin and pushes him back against the cage.
Shavera trying to stall but Franklin improves his position.

Franklin manages to pull guard.
Franklin wants to sweep here but Shavera controlling him for the moment.

Franklin is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Shavera rolls with it to try and escape but Franklin cranks on the arm and Shavera is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
