Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Toby Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Lonestar!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lonestar shoots for a takedown but Coleman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Coleman misses with a double jab.
Lonestar is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Coleman throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

And Lonestar tries to counter it with a takedown but Coleman pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Coleman throws a right hand that Lonestar ducks under and follows up with a left that Lonestar also avoids with ease.
Lonestar changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Coleman tries to bum rush Lonestar with a series of wild strikes but Lonestar uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Coleman gets a clinch.
Lonestar is trying to pull guard but Coleman turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Coleman has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Despite the aggression on Lonestar's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Coleman tries to clinch there but Lonestar circles away.

so Lonestar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Lonestar drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lonestar jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lonestar passes Coleman's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Lonestar is working for a kimura but Coleman is defending it quite comfortably.

Lonestar maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Coleman could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Lonestar has cracked it and Coleman is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Lonestar!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mike Lonestar!
