The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ambrose has Saukko up against the cage in a clinch.
Saukko wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Saukko breaks from the clinch.
Saukko connects with an inside leg kick.
Saukko keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Ambrose misses with a head kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Saukko misses the target.
Saukko misses with a hook
and Ambrose counters with a good low kick that Saukko was not able to check.
A decent looking cross lands there for Saukko.
Per Saukko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ambrose looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Saukko throws a big shot that misses.

and Ambrose counters with a thumping low kick.

Saukko throws a series of punches but Ambrose moves out of range.
Ambrose buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

and Ambrose takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Saukko has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Saukko misses with a hook
and Ambrose counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ambrose fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Saukko on the side of the head.

Ambrose gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ambrose tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Ambrose escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Saukko lands a big head kick that sends Ambrose tumbling to the mat! Saukko takes a step backwards and waves Ambrose back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ambrose is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Saukko throws the left hand but Ambrose avoids the punch easily.
Saukko lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ambrose at a distance.
Saukko throws a half hearted mid kick.
Ambrose slips a straight right by Saukko.
Ambrose takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Oh Ambrose is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Saukko ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Ambrose's jaw. Ambrose's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Saukko does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
