The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Servilto shoots in but no luck this time.

Tanner closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tanner lands in his opponent's guard.
Tanner wants to pass the guard but Servilto is keeping the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Tanner advances to half guard.
Tanner seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Servilto wants to get back to full guard.

Tanner is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tanner works his foot free and advances to mount.
Servilto is trying desperately to improve position.

Tanner jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Servilto manages to avoid the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Servilto tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Servilto manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Tanner slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Tanner is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Servilto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tanner passes to side control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Servilto is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tanner has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Tanner moves into full mount!

Servilto staying busy and making it hard for Tanner to control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Servilto trying to control the hands but Tanner won't let him.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
You can see the frustration on Servilto's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Tanner is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Servilto has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Tanner has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Servilto taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Tanner doesn't care though - he's delighted!
