PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arthur DragonHeart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DragonHeart kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Heart of Courage. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Striker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says DragonHeart as he avoids it easily.
DragonHeart seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Striker is looking to clinch.
Striker shoots in for a takedown but DragonHeart shows good takedown defense.

DragonHeart looking to score a takedown here. Striker is defending well but DragonHeart drives through and ends up in Striker's guard.
Striker wants to get back to his feet but DragonHeart is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are working up against the cage. DragonHeart manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Striker shoots in for a takedown but DragonHeart shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Striker is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Striker goes for a double leg but DragonHeart avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as DragonHeart continues to drive forward.

It looked like DragonHeart was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

As Striker looks to move away, DragonHeart throws a big counter combo but Striker just gets out of the way.

DragonHeart went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
DragonHeart shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Striker pinned against the cage. Striker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

DragonHeart manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting DragonHeart here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
