Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Hess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hess comes to the cage accompanied by Demiurge. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 43 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jon Hess!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 17 - 1, fighting out of New York, Joe Frazier!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hess throws a sloppy head kick and Frazier moves out of range easily.
That kick from Hess tenderised Frazier's leg. Frazier is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hess tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Frazier was well out of range. Poor timing from Hess.
Frazier works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.


It looks like Jon Hess has been cut.
Frazier lands with a shot to the body.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hess.
Frazier doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hess throws an off balance right hand
letting Frazier counter with a right hand.
Hess tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Frazier was well out of range. Poor timing from Hess.
Hess has been working on his boxing with his coaches at House of 1000 Corpses in the buildup to the fight.
An inside leg kick lands from Hess.
Frazier bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hess's head.
Frazier takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Frazier thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hess uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Frazier.
Frazier is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hess throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Frazier looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Hess takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Frazier pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Frazier looks for the body kick but Hess saw that one coming.
Hess walks into a stiff left hand from Frazier.
Frazier misses with a body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hess fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Hess moves out of range of the strikes.
Frazier is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Frazier ducks under a wild hook from Hess.
Nice defenses there by Hess.
Hess thumps Frazier with a low kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Frazier gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Frazier rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hess moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Frazier finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Hess misses with a body kick.
Hess thows a left - swing and a miss!
Frazier lands with a shot to the body.
Hess gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Hess jabs Frazier to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Hess throws a front kick that sends Frazier stumbling back into the cage.
Frazier looks winded!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hess lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Frazier has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hess.
Frazier now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Frazier scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Frazier fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hess manages to avoid it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hess thumps Frazier with a low kick.
Frazier misses with a body shot.
Frazier throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Frazier rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hess moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Hess lands a big head kick that sends Frazier tumbling to the mat! Hess takes a step backwards and waves Frazier back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Hess lands a front kick.
Frazier on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hess. Hess obviously looking to wear him down.
Frazier throws a hook to the side of Hess's head but Hess sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Frazier misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hess punishes Frazier's body with a nice straight punch.

Hess feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Frazier sprawling to the canvas! Frazier rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hess finish him?!
Hess lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Hess moves out of range as Frazier throws a body kick.
Hess swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Frazier gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Hess gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Frazier is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Hess!
Jon Hess retains his heavyweight title!
After winning the bout, Jon Hess thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
The defeated Joe Frazier had this to say: 'I am losing skills soooooooo fast it is scary, seeing out contract.'.
