The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sefo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Simmons avoids the head kick by Sefo.
Sefo misses with a double jab
and Simmons counters with a three punch combo that has Sefo backing up. Sefo nods at Simmons to acknowledge the strikes.
Simmons shoots in and drives through. Sefo sprawls well.
Sefo lands a glancing blow to the side of Simmons's head.
Simmons throws a half hearted mid kick.
Sefo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Sefo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Sefo moves into range and clinches up with Simmons.
Simmons on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Simmons is looking to break free of the clinch but Sefo has double underhooks.

Sefo breaks the clinch.
Nice defenses there by Sefo.
Simmons throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sefo's waist but Sefo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Simmons off to one side.
Sefo lands with a nice combination. Simmons backs away looking to recover.
Simmons throws a combination that misses
and Simmons takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Sefo instigates a clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Sefo jumps guard and drags Simmons to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sefo looking for a sweep. Not yet Sefo, not yet.

Simmons has gone for a leg lock! Sefo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Simmons's guard.
Sefo content to stall in guard here.

Simmons has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Sefo doesn't defend quickly enough and Simmons has managed to lock this one up! Can Sefo escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Simmons on a fantastic submission victory.
