PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rock Solid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solid looks to land a left hand but Jackson moved out of range nicely.
Jackson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Solid half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Jackson looks winded!
Jackson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Solid has a takedown stuffed.
Solid misses with a straight left.
Solid throws a hook but Jackson avoids it easily.
Jackson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Solid throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jackson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Solid is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jackson.
Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Solid circles away quickly and effectively.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Solid.
Solid fails to land with a series of punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Solid throws a body shot but no joy.
Solid throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Solid misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Solid throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range.
Jackson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Solid throws out a loose jab but Jackson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Solid misses with a looping right.
Jackson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Solid tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jackson defends well and Solid ends up having to push Jackson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rock Solid. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Solid looks to score with a jab to the body but Jackson is just out of range.

Jackson is looking for the big counter here.
Jackson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Jackson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jackson wants it to stay on the feet.
Solid shoots in looking for a takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl out of it but Solid keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jackson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jackson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Solid.

Solid shoots in and bounces Jackson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jackson can't keep his opponent in guard - Solid advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
