Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Simeon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ritchie Lampbert!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lampbert throws a right hand that Simeon ducks under and follows up with a left that Simeon also avoids with ease.
We've been told by Simeon's head coaches at 25 Beasts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Lampbert lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Simeon backs up against the cage.
Lampbert circles away from the clinch attempt
and Lampbert counters with a three punch combo that has Simeon backing up. Simeon nods at Lampbert to acknowledge the strikes.
Simeon shoots in for a double leg but Lampbert sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Simeon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lampbert pinned against the cage. Lampbert gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Simeon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lampbert was covering up waiting for the punch and Simeon finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Lampbert had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Simeon defends it easily.

Simeon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lampbert has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Simeon has managed to get both his arms back between Lampbert's legs - danger averted.

Lampbert manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Simeon keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Lampbert feints a jab promting Simeon to slip. Lampbert then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Simeon slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Simeon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lampbert is fending him off so far but Simeon persists. Nope, Lampbert circles away and we're back to standing.
Ritchie Lampbert is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Simeon tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lampbert defends well and Simeon ends up having to push Lampbert into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Simeon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lampbert walks away with a smile on his face. Simeon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lampbert controls Simeon momentarily but Simeon frees himself.

Simeon stands up and waves to Lampbert to follow him.
Simeon shoots in but no luck this time.

Simeon takes one on the button.

Simeon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Simeon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lampbert does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lampbert has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Simeon is on him like a limpet, forcing Lampbert back against the cage.

Simeon tries to pull guard but Lampbert holds him up against the cage and eventually Simeon drops back down to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
