Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sylvester Westinghouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Maynard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peter Maynard is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Westinghouse scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Westinghouse is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Maynard is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Maynard regains half guard there - taking advantage of Westinghouse's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Maynard can do anything to dispel that myth.
Maynard wants to get back to his feet.
Westinghouse wants to take a breather but Maynard is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Westinghouse is really struggling to control Maynard but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Westinghouse is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Maynard doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Westinghouse.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Maynard has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Westinghouse is working away from the top position though.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Westinghouse closes the distance and clinches.
Westinghouse doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Maynard obliges.
Maynard pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Westinghouse misses with a punch on the inside.

Maynard using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Westinghouse has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Westinghouse swings wildly with an uppercut but Maynard uses good head movement to avoid it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oh Westinghouse is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Clinched against the cage, Maynard lands a big elbow that drops Westinghouse! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Westinghouse is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peter Maynard!
