Santos tries to clinch but Stafford moves away

and Stafford counters with a shoot takedown. Santos fights it but they end up in guard.

Stafford seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Santos wants to control the position but Stafford says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stafford connects with a nice short shot to Santos's temple.
Santos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
