Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Jones!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson scores with a kick to the midsection.
Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.

Jones closes the distance and clinches.
Jones gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Johnson.
Johnson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Johnson jumps guard but Jones stands there with Johnson around his waist. Johnson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jones gets control of Johnson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jones will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Jones tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Johnson tries to counter by clinching up but Jones breaks away and moves out of range.

Johnson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jones gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Jones has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Johnson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johnson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.
Johnson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely.
Jones unleashes a big counter combination but Johnson bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Jones looks to land a combination. Johnson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones has closed the distance and engaged Johnson in a clinch.
Jones looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Johnson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
