The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bitchping throws a sloppy head kick and Martin moves out of range easily.
We've been told by Bitchping's head coaches at The Good the Bad and The Ugly that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Martin tries a head kick but it misses.
Bitchping throws a body punch but Martin moves out of range.
Martin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bitchping is fending him off so far but Martin persists. Nope, Bitchping circles away and we're back to standing.
Bitchping defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Martin.
Martin misses with a body shot
and Bitchping counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Martin closes the distance looking to clinch
and Bitchping counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Martin tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Martin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Martin shoots in for a takedown but Bitchping shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bitchping was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Mitchell Bitchping has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darren Martin.
Whack! Bitchping lands a heavy head kick that drops Martin. The ref tackles Bitchping to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Martin was done.
