The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wright drops Moreira with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Moreira looks back up at him and smiles so Wright waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Daniel Moreira has been cut.
Moreira looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Wright throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Wright sends Moreira crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Wright is motioning to the referee to let Moreira up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Moreira is rocked!

Wright has Moreira up against the cage in a clinch.
Oh Moreira is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Moreira throws a knee to the head but misses.
Wright unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Moreira! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Wright is unloading with more strikes now! Moreira drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Wright!
Steve Wright decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
