PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brad Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boco Ohara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ohara is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by 7 years. Boco Ohara will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santana tries a low kick but Ohara avoids it.
Ohara takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Santana tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ohara manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ohara shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

It looks like Brad Santana has been cut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Santana really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Santana swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Santana throws a right and a left that Ohara avoids nicely.

Good leg kick by Ohara there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ohara has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Santana pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Despite the aggression on Ohara 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ohara utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Santana seems to be working for a kimura but Ohara defends the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Santana manages to capitalize on a mistake by Ohara to take his back!

Ohara is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Santana scores with a one two! Ohara had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Ohara shoots in but no luck this time.
Santana is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Ohara .
Santana misses with a hook.
Santana slaps away a takedown attempt from Ohara , before circling back to the center of the mat.
Santana attempts a counter takedown but Ohara avoids it well and moves away.

Santana manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Santana thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Ohara is breathing heavily.

Santana had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ohara defends it easily.

Santana looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Ohara is defending well. Santana quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Ohara has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Santana celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
