The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rauparaha throws the left hand but Doremus avoids the punch easily.
Doremus tries to counter with a takedown but Rauparaha is quick to defend against it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Doremus has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rauparaha after a bit of a struggle.
Doremus changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rauparaha fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Dolores Doremus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rauparaha fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Doremus, pushing him back against the cage.
Rauparaha misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Doremus wants to take the fight to the mat but Rauparaha manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Rauparaha.

Rauparaha gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Doremus.
Rauparaha is pressed up against the cage. Doremus has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rauparaha down to the mat. Rauparaha avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
We've been informed that Rauparaha has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Doremus is looking for a kimura but Rauparaha is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Doremus to get the leverage.
Doremus looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rauparaha with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rauparaha is trying to stand up here but Doremus is controlling him well.

Doremus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Doremus throws an elbow that misses. Rauparaha uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Doremus's guard. Nice move by Rauparaha!

Rauparaha would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Rauparaha has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Doremus to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Rauparaha is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Doremus pulls down on the head and he's put Rauparaha to sleep! This one is all over!
