The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roseira looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Marquez!
Roseira tries to move into full mount but can't pass Marquez's legs.
Roseira just content to control the position.

Roseira is trying to get an arm triangle but Marquez is defending well.
Marquez is looking to regain half guard here but Roseira keeps moving and retains side control.
Roseira tries to stand but Marquez is controlling his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marquez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Roseira wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Roseira wants to take a breather but Marquez is having none of it.

Marquez is looking to control Roseira's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Marquez avoid being mounted?

Roseira is trying to work for a kimura but Marquez is defending well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Marquez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Roseira tries to hold on but Marquez pushes him away.
Marquez cracks Roseira with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Marquez is landing with some decent strikes but Roseira is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Roseira can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marquez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Marquez is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Roseira is in real trouble.

Marquez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Roseira is trying to control his opponent's hands. Eventually Marquez gets his hands free and sinks in a rear naked choke. For a while it looks like Roseira is going to survive but after struggling valiantly, he eventually has to tap out! Marquez is your winner!
