Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Topper Green and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joyce stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Joyce wants it to stay on the feet.
Joyce tries to counter by clinching up but Wampler breaks away and moves out of range.
Wampler shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Joyce defends it nicely.

Joyce tries to counter with a takedown but Wampler is quick to defend against it.

Wampler slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Joyce drives through and clinches with Wampler against the cage.
Wampler wants to take the fight to the mat but Joyce manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Wampler is pressed up against the cage. Joyce has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wampler down to the mat. Wampler avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Wampler should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Joyce jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wampler walks away with a smile on his face. Joyce gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Wampler closes this distance looking for a takedown but Joyce circles away.
Wampler has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Joyce is landing a low percentage of strikes.

As Joyce backs off Wampler throws a huge counter combo but Joyce manages to avoid it all.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Wampler shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Joyce as he avoids it easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wampler.
A head kick by Wampler misses
and Joyce counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Joyce.
Wampler kicks Joyce off and gets to his feet.

Joyce has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

I would just about give that final round to Joe Wampler.
Well Joyce has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
