Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Lopatin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergey Dravinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alexei Lopatin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sergey Dravinski!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dravinski drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lopatin pulls his leg out and moves away.
Alexei Lopatin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dravinski tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lopatin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lopatin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dravinski tries to clinch but Lopatin moves out of range.

Lopatin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dravinski can do anything to dispel that myth.

Dravinski is working an open guard so Lopatin takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

so Dravinski counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lopatin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dravinski seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Dravinski has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

It looks like Dravinski might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Dravinski drives through with a takedown into Lopatin's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Dravinski goes for a double leg but Lopatin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lopatin continues to drive forward.

Dravinski moves into range and clinches up with Lopatin.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lopatin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dravinski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Lopatin wants to stand and escape but Dravinski is having none of it.

Dravinski darts in and clinches Lopatin up against the cage.
Lopatin is pressed up against the cage. Dravinski has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lopatin down to the mat. Lopatin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Dravinski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Dravinski shoots in for a double leg but Lopatin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lopatin attempts a counter takedown but Dravinski avoids it well and moves away.

Dravinski tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Lopatin's elbow.
Dravinski jumps guard but Lopatin turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Alexei Lopatin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergey Dravinski.

Lopatin throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Lopatin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dravinski manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Dravinski wants to stay close but Lopatin steps back to make room for something. Dravinski seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Lopatin and Dravinski drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
