Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hector Torres!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres wants to clinch.
Valcone swats away the attempt to clinch by Torres.
Valcone moves out of range of the body kick from Torres.
Valcone sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Torres tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Valcone paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Valcone closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Valcone working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Valcone is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Torres is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Valcone postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

and Torres counters with a head kick. That will keep Valcone thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Torres scores with a hook to the body. Valcone takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Torres throws a wild body kick that Valcone sees coming a mile off.

Torres wants to clinch up but Valcone keeps it at a distance.

Valcone throws a low kick, looking for Torres's leg but Torres calmly moves out of range.

Torres wants to clinch up but Valcone keeps it at a distance.

No joy there for Torres, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fight stays on the outside here - Torres looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Valcone has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Torres.

Valcone throws a low kick, looking for Torres's leg but Torres calmly moves out of range.
Valcone wants to slow Torres down by chopping away at his legs.

Valcone swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Torres counters with a good, hard body kick but Valcone shrugs it off.
