Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ball swivels and escapes.
Fernandez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ball is fending him off so far but Fernandez persists. Nope, Ball circles away and we're back to standing.
Ball seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Fernandez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ball manages to get to full guard.
Fernandez trying to move into half guard but instead Ball has managed to sweep!
Ball working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Fernandez's head.
Fernandez working for a triangle but Ball defends it easily.
Fernandez looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ball is looking to stand up but Fernandez won't let him.
Ball cracks Fernandez with a solid left hand.
Ball postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ball is posturing up here but Fernandez has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Ball tries to roll out but it's too tight and Ball has to tap! Slick submission there by Fernandez!
