Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Igor Rottwel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Xander Cage!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Bart Greer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage throws a series of punches but Rottwel moves out of range.
Cage moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Igor Rottwel has been cut.
Rottwel gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Cage counters with a stiff right hand.
Rottwel on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Cage tests Rottwel's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Rottwel changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cage looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rottwel has hold of Cage's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Cage tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Rottwel cranks the arm and Cage screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Cage, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Igor Rottwel!
A pretty intense looking Igor Rottwel took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
