Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Augustus Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Allen has chosen Can't be Touched as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Allen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lopez's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Allen controlling from the top position.
Allen tries to free his leg and advance position but Lopez is retaining full guard.
Allen is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Allen gets to his feet. Lopez looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Lopez tries to clinch but Allen is having none of it.

Allen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lopez to the mat! Lopez manages to get full guard.

Allen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lopez dives on top into guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lopez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lopez throws an elbow that misses. Allen uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lopez's guard. Nice move by Allen!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Allen working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Lopez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Allen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lopez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Lopez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lopez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Allen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lopez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Lopez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Allen defends it easily.
Allen controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Lopez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lopez appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Allen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Allen throwing strikes but Lopez manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Lopez misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The referee warns Allen that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Lopez lands a big shot there that rocks Allen but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Allen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lopez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lopez is landing with some decent strikes but Allen is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Lopez lands a couple of good shots and Allen has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Lopez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lopez connects with a nice short shot to Allen's temple.
Allen is trying to stand up here but Lopez is controlling him well.
