Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor has chosen Tool - Pushit as his entrance music. Peter Parker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sean Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Parker. No joy for Taylor on that attempt.
Parker fires out a quick counter leg kick but Taylor just manages to avoid it.
Parker lands a head kick. Taylor smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Parker feints and then cracks Taylor's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Taylor down.
Parker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Parker throws a nice inside leg kick.
Taylor takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Taylor shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Parker pinned against the cage. Parker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Peter Parker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Taylor.
Taylor fails with the takedown.
Parker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Parker counters with a three punch combo that has Taylor backing up. Taylor nods at Parker to acknowledge the strikes.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Taylor is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Parker pulls him back up using the underhooks.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Parker is pressed up against the cage. Taylor has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Parker down to the mat. Parker avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Parker scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Taylor doesn't seem bothered though.

Parker moves into range and clinches up with Taylor.
Taylor is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Parker is defending well.

Parker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Taylor takes one to the chin there.
Parker with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Taylor slips a jab and a cross from Parker.

Parker closes the distance and pushes Taylor back into the cage.

Parker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Parker dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parker connects with a high kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Taylor tries to score a power double leg takedown but Parker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Taylor somewhat.

and Parker counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Parker.
I was talking to Parker's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Parker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Peter Parker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Parker throws a series of punches but Taylor avoids them all with ease.

Parker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Taylor is working for takedown but Parker is calmly controlling the position for now.

Parker manages to break the clinch.
Parker lands a nice leg kick that just misses Taylor's sensitive parts.
Taylor fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Taylor takes one to the side of the head.

Taylor looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Parker!

Parker sneaks out the side door and pushes Taylor away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Parker stuffs the takedown.
Parker is looking to counter the offense by Taylor and move into the clinch.
Parker plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Parker shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Taylor eats them both and turns towards Parker to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Parker scores with a jab to the jaw.


Taylor is rocked!
Taylor shoots in but Parker avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Parker counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Taylor tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Parker defends well and Taylor ends up having to push Parker into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Parker cracks a nice hook into Taylor's ribs.
Sean Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Parker lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Taylor is still on wobbly legs! Can Parker finish him?

Parker clinches with his opponent.
Taylor drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Taylor seems to have recovered his senses.

Parker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Parker lands a nice looking body shot.
Taylor shoots and misses
and Parker counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Taylor misses with an attempted mid kick.

Taylor is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Parker's half guard.

Parker kicks Taylor off and gets back to his feet.
Taylor shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Parker defends it nicely.
Taylor takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Parker lands a high kick!
Parker connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Parker scores with a nice right hand.
Taylor walks into a jab.
Parker lands a two punch combo.
Taylor has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Parker finds it's way round the side to connect with Taylor's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Parker dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Parker cracks Taylor with a hook to the temple - Taylor is on wobbly legs here! Parker swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Taylor falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Parker wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Peter Parker!
Peter Parker seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
