Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Mason Marshall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marvin Andrews!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andrews slips under a jab.
Marshall throws a looping overhand right but Andrews ducks down to avoid it.
Andrews ducks under a wild hook from Marshall.
Andrews has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Andrews there as he acknowledges the shot.
Marshall punishes Andrews's body with a nice straight punch.
Andrews steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Marshall.
Marshall throws out a loose jab but Andrews uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Andrews tries to bum rush Marshall with a series of wild strikes but Marshall uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Marshall digs a right hand into Andrews's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Andrews's gas tank.

Andrews throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Marshall's waist but Marshall gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Andrews off to one side.

Marshall throws a shot from downtown. Andrews moves away and avoids it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Andrews.
Marshall slaps away a takedown attempt from Andrews, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The fighters circle momentarily. Marshall darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Andrews gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Marshall.
Marshall loads up on a big right hand but Andrews slips the punch.

Marshall tries to work over Andrews's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Andrews tries to score with some ground and pound. Marshall controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Marshall tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Andrews wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mason Marshall will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Marshall, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
