Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dave McIntosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jessi Inder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dave McIntosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jessi Inder!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inder closes the distance and clinches up with McIntosh, looking for a takedown. Inder pushes McIntosh against the cage but McIntosh circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Inder darts in looking for a takedown but McIntosh gets double underhooks and turns Inder into the cage.
Inder shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McIntosh pinned against the cage. McIntosh gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dave McIntosh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jessi Inder.
Inder closes the distance and clinches up with McIntosh, looking for a takedown. Inder pushes McIntosh against the cage but McIntosh circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McIntosh lands a high kick!


It looks like Jessi Inder has been cut.

McIntosh is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Inder's half guard.

Inder manages to escape and get back to his feet!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Inder shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McIntosh defends it nicely.
Inder shoots in and drives through. McIntosh sprawls well.

McIntosh rushes Inder and presses him up against the cage.
Inder tries to pull guard but McIntosh holds him up against the cage and eventually Inder drops back down to his feet.

McIntosh is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Inder can't fight it off and eventually McIntosh manages to take the fight to the floor. Inder looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
McIntosh is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

McIntosh wants to pass the guard but Inder is keeping the position.
Inder is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McIntosh is controlling him.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
McIntosh postures up.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
McIntosh has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Inder wants to get back to his feet but McIntosh is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Inder will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
McIntosh drops down looking for a counter takedown but Inder sprawls and moves away.

McIntosh clinches up with Inder and pushes him back against the cage.

McIntosh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

McIntosh scores with a takedown into Inder's guard.

Inder pushes McIntosh off and scrambles back to his feet.

Inder is looking to regain half guard here but McIntosh keeps moving and retains side control.
Inder trying to control but McIntosh flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!

Inder tries to roll but McIntosh sticks to his back.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Inder is trying to shake McIntosh off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! McIntosh won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.
Inder shoots in for a double leg but McIntosh sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
McIntosh cracks Inder with a good jab.
McIntosh turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Inder shoots for a takedown but McIntosh saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
As Inder backs away, McIntosh returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Inder looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
McIntosh was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Inder.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



McIntosh shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Inder manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
McIntosh is struggling to control the position.
McIntosh has Inder pressed against the cage.
Inder is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables McIntosh to keep the fight standing.

Inder is fighting off a takedown attempt but McIntosh is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Inder to the mat. Inder regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
McIntosh is standing up over Inder. Inder looks to escape but McIntosh dives into side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McIntosh is trying to trip Inder. He has hold of a leg but Inder is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. McIntosh persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Inder tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McIntosh just stands there and leans against the cage.

McIntosh ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. McIntosh no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
McIntosh tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Inder stands and throws McIntosh's legs to the side, diving into side control.

McIntosh wants to control but Inder postures up.

McIntosh is looking to slow Inder down with leg kicks.
Inder shoots for a takedown but McIntosh saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

McIntosh closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Inder sneaks out the side door and pushes McIntosh away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dave McIntosh will probably get the nod.

McIntosh shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Inder napping and manages to drive through into side control!

McIntosh lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Inder manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. McIntosh keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Inder fails to pull the fight into his guard.
McIntosh avoiding damage.
Inder tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McIntosh just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jessi Inder has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Inder jumps guard but McIntosh stands there with Inder around his waist. Inder gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Inder got a little sloppy there for a moment and McIntosh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Inder has managed to get both his arms back between McIntosh's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Inder drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Inder seems to have locked his on tight now - McIntosh screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Inder, as he picks up the win!
