The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Evans does no damage.
Nice sprawl there from Evans as Joseph shoots in.
Evans misses with a series of wild punches.
Joseph blocks a head kick by Evans .
Evans closes the distance and clinches up with Joseph, looking for a takedown. Evans pushes Joseph against the cage but Joseph circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Evans changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Joseph looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Joseph bucks up and tries to throw Evans off but instead Evans has got his back!
Evans tries to get the hooks in deep but Joseph pushed the leg off.

Joseph tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Joseph is wriggling around trying to escape.
