Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gaylord Focker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Laboy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Damian Laboy!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Laboy misses its intended target.

Focker shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Laboy's guard.

Laboy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Focker drops back looking for a leg! Laboy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Laboy manages to kick Focker off! Focker jumps back into Laboy's guard.

Laboy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Focker is just riding it out for now. Laboy eventually gives up the hold.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Laboy throws a series of punches but Focker avoids them all with ease.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Focker is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Laboy.

Gaylord Focker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Focker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Laboy tries to avoid it but Focker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Laboy to the ground. Laboy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gaylord Focker. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Oh Focker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Laboy fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Focker square on the jaw! Damn, Focker is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
