Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Julio Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Patrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Back in Black. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrick throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.
Patrick moves out of range as Jones throws a body kick.
Patrick tries a quick counter leg kick but Jones is wise to it.
Patrick chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Patrick scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Donk. Patrick catches Jones right on the button with a cross.

Patrick throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Patrick will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Jones lands a head kick that bluckles Patrick and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Jones no doubt looking to push for a finish!

Patrick lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jones cracks Patrick with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Jones avoids a kick to the body.
Patrick fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Jones is looking to clinch.

Jones looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Jones is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Patrick will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jones swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Patrick has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Patrick's corner calls for a 1-2. Patrick obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Jones tries to clinch up but Patrick circles away and keeps his distance.
Jones gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Patrick.
Patrick tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Patrick.
Patrick connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jones momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Patrick swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jones, as that shot connected.

Jones throws a wild body kick that Patrick sees coming a mile off.

Jones connects with a body shot that sends Patrick's belly button to the back.

Patrick throws a head kick that Jones semi-blocks.

Patrick wants to counter with a clinch but Jones pushes him away.
Patrick fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones.
Patrick takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Patrick steps in and throws a big head kick that drops Jones to the mat! Jones looks in trouble, can he beat the count? Patrick is bouncing in a neutral corner joining in with the referee '4,5,6' they both chant. 7,8,9... he's not going to make it! 10! He's out! Patrick jumps onto the ropes and takes in the acclaim from the crowd!
