Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jasper Walsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Artoym Valimska!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walsh moves into the clinch successfully.

Valimska bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Walsh's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Valimska is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Walsh doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Valimska.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

That was a close round but I would say that Jasper Walsh will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Walsh pushes Valimska up against the cage in a clinch.

Valimska ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Valimska no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Walsh's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Walsh in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Valimska wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Walsh is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Valimska is just riding it out for now. Walsh eventually gives up the hold.

Walsh manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Valimska on his heels. He'll look to pass Valimska's guard now, I'm sure.

Valimska throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Walsh escapes and throws Valimska's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Walsh creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Valimska sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Walsh is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Valimska has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's time! Walsh's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Valimska escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Walsh gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Walsh with a flurry of punches that miss.
Valimska is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Valimska has momentary wrist control but Walsh slips an elbow through the middle.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Valimska can do anything to dispel that myth.
Valimska might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Walsh haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Walsh is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Valimska has escaped the position, nice work there.
Valimska is not content to let Walsh control the position.

Walsh working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Well Walsh has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
