PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Al Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and WhatA Surprise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Surprise fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Adams, pushing him back against the cage.
Surprise is trying to push Adams away but Adams has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Surprise.

It looks like Al Adams has been cut.
Adams taking a breather.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Surprise.
A short right from Adams on the inside.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Adams.
Adams gets through Surprise's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Adams is trying to stall.
Adams lands with a short shot to the head.
Surprise jumps guard but Adams turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Adams manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Surprise throws a head punch that misses.
Surprise swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Adams scores with a shot to the side of Surprise's head.
Adams tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Surprise's elbow.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Adams.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Surprise has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Adams avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Adams gets through Surprise's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Adams keeps control of Surprise as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A nice left hand lands by Adams.

Surprise breaks the clinch.

Surprise tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Surprise can't do much from the bottom here.
Surprise might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Adams haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Surprise is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Surprise keeps trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Surprise is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Adams's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Surprise trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Adams is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Surprise has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Adams is looking to defend but Surprise has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Adams! Surprise pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Adams taps out and this one is all over!
