PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Woodward Glass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artyom Cheberyachko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cheberyachko is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Percival - Sargon. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Woodward Glass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Artyom Cheberyachko!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glass moves out of range of the strikes.
Cheberyachko cracks Glass with an open hand slap.
Glass ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cheberyachko moves away.
Cheberyachko misses with an uppercut. Glass saw that one coming.
Glass scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Glass moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Artyom Cheberyachko has been cut.
Cheberyachko throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Glass stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Cheberyachko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Glass moves away.
It looked like Glass was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Cheberyachko.
Glass throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Glass has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Netherlands Top Team & KT in the buildup to the fight.
Glass lands a nice looking body shot.
Cheberyachko lands a right hook to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cheberyachko throws out a powerful jab.
Cheberyachko throws a series of strikes that have Glass backpedaling.
Cheberyachko lands a glancing blow to the side of Glass's head.
Glass on the wrong end of a nice hook.


Glass is rocked!
Cheberyachko ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Glass's jaw. Glass's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Cheberyachko does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Artyom Cheberyachko!
A relieved looking Artyom Cheberyachko thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Woodward Glass was interviewed post fight and said 'I know I'm a can, but it pays the bills.'.
