The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Preston fails in his attempt to clinch.
Fargus shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Preston pinned against the cage. Preston gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fargus looks for a takedown but Preston sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fargus shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Preston as he avoids it easily.
Lucas Preston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alan Fargus.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fargus shoots in and bounces Preston off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fargus is posturing up here but Preston has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Fargus tries to roll out but it's too tight and Fargus has to tap! Slick submission there by Preston!
