Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fred Palowakski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iphone Apple (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palowakski kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Burning Down the House. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 49 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Iphone Apple!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Apple.

Apple gets a clinch.
Apple missing with knees to the body.
Palowakski blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Apple is trying to maintain a safe position but Palowakski gets an underhook and turns Apple into the cage.
Palowakski on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Apple tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Palowakski avoids it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Apple shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Palowakski as he avoids it easily.

Palowakski pushes Apple back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Apple creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Apple tries to score a body lock takedown but Palowakski shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Fred Palowakski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Iphone Apple.

Palowakski lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Palowakski gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Apple can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Palowakski passes Apple's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Apple closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Palowakski pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Palowakski connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Apple momentarily.
Apple has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


Apple is rocked!


It looks like Iphone Apple has been cut.

Apple drives through and clinches with Palowakski against the cage.
Apple is still on wobbly legs! Can Palowakski finish him?
Palowakski drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Apple seems to have recovered his senses.
Apple is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Palowakski gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Palowakski avoiding damage as Apple throws knees to the body.
Apple wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Palowakski has him pressed against the cage.
Apple blocks the elbow strike.

Palowakski successfully pulls guard.
Palowakski keeping moving, preventing Apple from controlling successfully.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Palowakski is on top in guard.

Palowakski slips nicely into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Palowakski is taking a breather. Apple says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Apple really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Palowakski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Palowakski seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Apple is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Fred Palowakski!
