The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitehead fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hawkins avoids it really well and circles away.
Hawkins throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hawkins fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Whitehead tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Whitehead shoots in but no luck this time.
Hawkins unleashes a big counter combination but Whitehead bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Hawkins lands a left and a right that send Whitehead crashing to the mat, dazed. Hawkins thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Whitehead is rocked!

It looks like Fredric Whitehead has been cut.
Hawkins lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Whitehead out cold! Whitehead is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
