PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Russel Paulman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Rosseti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paulman comes to the cage accompanied by fight music . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Russel Paulman !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vitor Rosseti!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paulman cracks Rosseti with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Paulman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rosseti avoids a punch combination nicely.
Paulman drops Rosseti with a right and a left! Paulman comes rushing in but Rosseti regains his composure and manages to keep Paulman in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rosseti has his foot on Paulman 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Paulman works his way back into a safe position though.

Rosseti has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Paulman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Paulman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rosseti's guard.

Paulman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Paulman postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rosseti is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Paulman , into his guard.
Paulman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Paulman is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Rosseti rolls with it to try and escape but Paulman cranks on the arm and Rosseti is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
