Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Martin Moss and Oliver Winston. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Martin Moss! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Oliver Winston!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Moss wants to clinch.
Winston feints the counter takedown.
Moss tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Winston manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Winston changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Winston enables Moss to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Winston manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Moss (2) vs (0) Winston
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Winston working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Moss doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Moss manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've been hearing good reports from Moss's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Moss passes Winston's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Winston is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Moss pulls his head out easily.

Moss has control of Winston's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Winston regains control of the situation pretty easily.
