The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Felipe bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kerr is looking for a sweep.
Felipe is looking to take a break and control but Kerr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kerr tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kerr is working hard here to advance position.
Felipe is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Felipe tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Kerr is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Felipe off and has taken his back!
Felipe is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Kerr off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Kerr is not going to allow Felipe to sit and survive in this position.

Kerr is looking for a choke. Felipe gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Felipe manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Felipe decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Kerr gets caught flat footed, as Felipe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Kerr is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Felipe content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Kerr has locked up a guillotine! Kerr's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Felipe is holding on here and Kerr must be using up a lot of energy. Felipe has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Kerr gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
