Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Naya Shinoki !
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy throws a quick inside leg kick.
Murphy has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Samran Muay Thai in the buildup to the fight.
Brendan Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Murphy throws a head kick but Shinoki moves out of range.
Murphy throws a nice head kick!
Murphy throws a sloppy head kick and Shinoki moves out of range easily.
A head kick misses from Murphy.
Murphy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Murphy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shinoki avoids the head kick by Murphy.
Shinoki changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Murphy lands with a slapping head kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Shinoki is defended easily by Murphy.
Shinoki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Murphy circles away.
It looked like Murphy wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Murphy throws a nice inside leg kick.
Murphy circles away from the clinch attempt.
Murphy takes a swing at Shinoki 's ribcage but misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Murphy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shinoki .
Brendan Murphy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Naya Shinoki .

Shinoki avoids the head kick by Murphy.

Shinoki moves into range and clinches up with Murphy.
Murphy lands a right hand.

Murphy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shinoki shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Murphy defends it nicely.
Nice takedown defense from Murphy. No joy for Shinoki on that attempt.
Murphy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Some wild striking there from Murphy.
And Shinoki tries to counter it with a takedown but Murphy pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Murphy throws a head kick that misses.
Murphy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Murphy stuffs the takedown attempt from Shinoki . Shinoki gets slowly back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Murphy buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Shinoki takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Shinoki takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Murphy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Murphy jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.


Shinoki is rocked!
Murphy shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Shinoki takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Murphy sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Shinoki bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Brendan Murphy!
An out of breath Brendan Murphy thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
The defeated Naya Shinoki had this to say: ' Didn't go my way I will come back stronger Congrats to my opponent an best of luck in the future thanks you all for the support'.
