Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sam Hain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Irvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hain comes to the cage accompanied by Shadow Boxing by Nasty Habits. Irvin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Johnny Cash - Rusty Cage. Billy Irvin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Hain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Irvin!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irvin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Irvin throws a nice looking combination but Hain bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hain checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Irvin tries to land a front kick but Hain steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Irvin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hain as he avoids it easily.

Irvin throws a head kick but Hain moves out of range.
Irvin tries to clinch but Hain moves out of range.

and Hain takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Irvin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hain's guard.
Hain is trying to control the position but Irvin postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Irvin stalks Hain and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hain's face. Hain staggers backwards, shaken.

Hain pushes Irvin up against the cage in a clinch.
Irvin is trying to break the clinch but Hain has him pressed against the cage.

Irvin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hain looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Hain's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Hain decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Hain is nestled in close to Irvin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Hain connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Irvin some visible discomfort.
