The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Diesel creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Diesel is trying to trip Horton. He has hold of a leg but Horton is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Diesel persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Horton cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Diesel looks gassed!

Horton has control of Diesel's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Diesel regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Horton is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Diesel can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Horton has hold of Diesel's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Diesel manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Diesel shoots for a takedown but Horton saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
