PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michel Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Strong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arnold Strong told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michel Howard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arnold Strong!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Strong fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Howard to the ground. Strong is now in Howard's guard.

Howard pushes Strong off and scrambles back to his feet.

Strong shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Strong lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Strong takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Strong tries to pass the half guard into mount. Howard knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Strong scoring with strikes to the body and head.

Howard is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Strong is trying to work for a kimura but Howard is defending well.
Oh Howard is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Strong lands a big elbow - Howard is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Strong!
