The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brock fails with a takedown attempt.
Macdonah thuds his right hand into Brock's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Winford Brock has been cut.
Goey Macdonah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brock shoots in for a double leg but Macdonah sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Brock looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Macdonah is fending him off so far but Brock persists. Nope, Macdonah circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Winford Brock. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brock misses with the combination.
Brock wants to clinch up but Macdonah keeps it at a distance.
A little jabbing left from Macdonah on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Macdonah gets a clinch.
Brock wants to take the fight to the mat but Macdonah manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Brock tries for a takedown. No joy.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Macdonah.

Brock is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Oh Brock is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Macdonah pushes Brock against the cage. Macdonah is working some dirty boxing. Macdonah pushes off with a quick right hook! Brock goes down! Brock tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Macdonah moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
