Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Guadalupe Winters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Johnson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Johnson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Winters is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on Winters's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Winters tries to bench press Johnson off him but Johnson keeps the position.
Johnson cracks Winters with a big right hand but Winters just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Winters is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Winters down.

Johnson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Winters is rocked!
Johnson works to advance to full mount. Winters defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Oh Winters is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Johnson postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Winters bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Johnson and the fight is over!
