Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pippo Zippo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Rand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zippo lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Rand uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Zippo.
Zippo slips a straight right by Rand.
Rand throws a head kick that misses
and Zippo counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Rand throws an off balance right hand
and Zippo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Zippo looks to land a right hand but Rand moved out of range.
Zippo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Rand misses with a right hand
and Zippo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sloppy strikes from Rand. Those never looked like landing.
Rand misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rand moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Rand is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Zippo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zippo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rand misses with a head kick.

Danny Rand seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zippo slips under a jab from Rand.
Zippo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Bear's Den in the buildup to the fight.
Rand misses the shot to the body.
Zippo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rand doesn't seem bothered though.
Rand takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rand throws a hook but Zippo blocks it.

Rand pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zippo throws a series of strikes that have Rand backpedaling.
Zippo moves away from the strike by Rand.
Rand rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zippo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Zippo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Rand swings widly with a right hand
and Zippo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rand misses with a double jab
and Zippo counters with a nice uppercut.
Rand looks winded!
Rand throws a head kick that misses.
Rand looks to land a combination but Zippo avoids it well.
Rand takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Zippo is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Rand misses with a jab, cross combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zippo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Rand walks into a stiff left hand from Zippo.
Zippo scores with a punch to the head.
Zippo jabs Rand right on the nose. Rand blinks but takes it well.

Zippo closes the distance and pushes Rand back into the cage.
Zippo lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Zippo lands a nice shot to the body.

Zippo lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Zippo has Rand pressed against the cage, preventing Rand from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Zippo lands a left hand.

Zippo makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Rand is still on wobbly legs! Can Zippo finish him?
Zippo lands a body shot in the clinch.
Zippo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rand pulls his leg out and moves away.
Zippo lands a right hook to the body.
Zippo pounces like a tiger and cracks Rand with a vicious hook! Rand is down but not out! Zippo follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
