The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puno fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Puno throws a leg kick but Doremus sees it coming and moves out of range.
Doremus tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Doremus uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Puno.
Doremus is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Puno displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Doremus throws out the jab.

Puno shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Doremus napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Doremus tries to buck Puno off but Puno is having none of it.
Doremus has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
