Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Geronimo Malkind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cade Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Geronimo Malkind!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cade Brown!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown shoots in and drives through. Malkind sprawls well.
An inside leg kick from Malkind misses.
Brown is looking to score with low kicks.
Malkind changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brown looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Malkind taking a breather here.
Brown is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Brown won't allow Malkind to pass to mount.
Malkind is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brown is just riding it out for now. Malkind eventually gives up the hold.

Brown is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Malkind has control of Brown's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Brown regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Malkind looking to secure an arm triangle but Brown defends it well.
Brown is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Brown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Malkind. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Malkind wants to finish this one by submission but Brown is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Malkind.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Malkind lands a big shot there that rocks Brown but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Brown wants to control but Malkind is having none of it.

BOOM! Malkind connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Malkind can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brown is looking to escape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Brown is squirming around, avoiding Malkind's attempts to control the action.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Geronimo Malkind just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Malkind drives through with a takedown into guard.

Malkind stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Malkind misses with a takedown attempt
and Brown counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Malkind has his foot on Brown's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brown works his way back into a safe position though.
