Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eric Verra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Alvario!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvario throws a lazy right hand but Verra sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Alvario has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Verra finds it's way round the side to connect with Alvario's head.
Alvario misses with a right hand
and Verra cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Verra lands a jab to the head.
A low kick from Alvario misses
and Verra counters with a slapping leg kick.
Jon Alvario seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alvario jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Alvario on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Verra lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Alvario moves forwards but Verra connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Verra connects with a nice looking jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Alvario throws a head kick that misses
and Verra counters with a leg kick.
Alvario rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Verra counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Alvario fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Verra connects with a crisp jab.
Verra tests Alvario's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Alvario doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Some bone on bone action there as Verra checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Alvario gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Verra.

Alvario misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Verra.
Verra with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Verra feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Alvarios jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Alvario is rocked!
Alvario takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Alvario is still on wobbly legs! Can Verra finish him?
Alvario is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Verra doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Alvario crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Alvario's bad books for that mishap!
