Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tae Larkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amir Lohan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tae Larkin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Amir Lohan!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larkin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Larkin throws a hook but Lohan avoids it easily.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lohan has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Larkin scores with a shot to the body.
Tae Larkin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Larkin takes the fight into the clinch.

Lohan breaks from the clinch.
Lohan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Larkin.
Lohan feints the counter takedown.

Lohan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Larkin walks away with a smile on his face. Lohan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Larkin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lohan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lohan changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Larkin jabs Lohan to the body, keeping him at a distance.

I was talking to Larkin's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Lohan misses with some punches.

Lohan tries for a takedown. No joy.

Larkin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lohan shoots in for a double leg but Larkin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lohan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Larkin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lohan somewhat.
Larkin lands a jab to Lohan's midsection.
Lohan shoots in but Larkin avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Larkin misses with a leg kick

and Lohan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lohan.
Lohan is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Lohan prevents Larkin from getting back to his feet.
Lohan is fighting to break Larkin's control of his arms but Larkin is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Lohan throws a big elbow that misses.
Lohan wants to control from the top but Larkin keeps moving.

Larkin wants to get back to his feet but Lohan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Larkin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Larkin looks to land a left hand but Lohan moved out of range nicely.
Larkin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lohan.

Larkin rushes Lohan and presses him up against the cage.
Larkin tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Lohan's elbow.
Larkin lands a shoulder strike.

Larkin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Larkin scores with a crisp jab that stopped Lohan in his tracks.
Tae Larkin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lohan moves into the clinch.
Larkin lands a right hand that snaps the head of Lohan backwards.
Lohan has had enough of the clinch but Larkin keeps him there for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lohan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Larkin just stands there and leans against the cage.

Larkin misses with a punch to the body.
Larkin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lohan can do to turn this around?

Lohan has Larkin pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Larkin manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Lohan tries to pull guard but Larkin forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Lohan is trying to drag Larkin to the mat but Larkin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Larkin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Lohan keeps control of Larkin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Lohan jumps guard and drags Larkin to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lohan is trying to control the position but Larkin postures up.

Larkin wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Lohan's closed guard. He's half up but Lohan has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Lohan pivots and extends the arm, Larkin falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Lohan! Well done that man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Amir Lohan!

After winning the bout, Amir Lohan thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
