Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 73 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jaromir Jag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 40 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, German Valdez!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jag pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Valdez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jag sprawls well. Jag wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Valdez gets slowly back to his feet.
Jag leaves Valdez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Jag rushes Valdez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Valdez takes a knee to the side of the body.
Valdez tries to pull guard but Jag holds him up against the cage and eventually Valdez drops back down to his feet.

I was talking to Jag's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
